In Lima, Peru, the Quantitative Research 360 training process was carried out—a module designed to deepen the fundamentals, methods, and core approaches of quantitative research. This initial phase was marked by intensive study of theoretical frameworks and tools that make it possible to understand how data is structured, analyzed, and interpreted to generate rigorous and applicable knowledge.

For Enrique Martinez, who participated on behalf of the Institute for Peace and Development (IPADES), this training block provided a clear and structured framework for the content that would be addressed later on, resulting in a more comprehensive understanding of the role quantitative research plays in building evidence and informing decision‑making.

Subsequently, the Latin America Liberty Forum 2026 took place on February 26 and 27 in Lima, Peru, bringing together leaders and innovators to strengthen alliances and promote freedom and prosperity in the region. During the event, the finalists of the Latin America Liberty Award 2026 were presented, recognizing projects with impact on economic freedom and human development.

The Institute for Peace and Development (IPADES) participated by contributing its expertise in human rights, democratic governance, security, and peacebuilding, enriching the regional dialogue on stability and sustainable development. In this sense, initiatives presented during the forum demonstrate that promoting freer societies also requires strengthening institutions, protecting rights, and creating conditions that allow each individual to fully develop their potential.
